BJP general secretary Surajnanadan Kushwaha (MLC) of bihar state has filed a case against Priyanka Gandhi for her ‘neech rajniti’ barb against BJP’s PM pick Narendra Modi, in the court of chief judicial magistrate Rama Kant Yadav at Patna.
Kushwaha charged Priyanka under five sections of the IPC, alleging that her remark not only insulted Modi, but the entire backward castes community with a view to promoting prejudice and enmity between different groups and harming national integration.
The IPC sections invoked are 153(A) (promotion of enmity between different groups), 153(B) (assertions prejudicial to national integration), 171(G) (making false statement during election), 500 (intention to defame reputation) and 504 (intentional insult with intention to provoke breach of peace).
